GD '98: Final Submission of Abstracts
Springer has recently started to make the LNCS volumes available
on line. Previously, authors only had to supply hard copy, but
this year, authors are also asked to supply source code.
We apologize for not alerting you to this fact earlier, and hope
that the inconvenience will be balanced by the advantages of having
your material on line as well as in the paper proceedings.
In order for the Proceedings to be published in year 1998, the
same year as GD '98, we request your cooperation in returning the
hard copy and electronic files as quickly as possible.
The address for sending in paper copies, or signed copyright forms is:
Judy Kenigsberg
Room 318, 3480 University St.
Montreal Quebec
H3A 2A7
Electronic files should be sent no later than 1 September,
1998. Email
<gd98@gd98.cs.mcgill.ca>
if you have not yet received instructions on how to upload the files
to our ftp server.
Instructions for Submission
-
Prepare hard copies according to the directions at the Springer web
site,
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.
Nota Bene: there must be no page numbers. This
will be the case if you use the Springer llncs style.
- Papers: 14 pages in the Springer format.
- Demos: 10 pages in the Springer format.
- Posters: 2 pages in the Springer format.
-
On the reverse of your hard copy, number each page in pencil and give
the first few words of the title. Do not staple.
-
Hand in two copies to Judy Kenigsberg at the GD '98 registration desk.
These should be directly from a printer, not photocopies.
-
Make sure that one of the authors signs the copyright form
available from Judy, and return the form with the hardcopy.
Springer requires submission of all files required
to create the paper, in electronic format:
- all source files; i.e. .tex files if you use TeX or LaTeX, .bbl
files if you use BibTex, etc.
- all figure files; i.e. PS or EPS
- if using a system other than TeX or Word: submit
a RTF format-file of the result
- any style files, templates, and special fonts you may have used
- final DVI files, for papers prepared using TeX or LaTeX
- final PS file
- if possible, a PDF file
We will email details about uploading the files to our ftp server
to each paper's contact person.
If you did not prepare your document with LaTeX or Word, please
contact us at <gd98@gd98.cs.mcgill.ca>.
